 MEET OUR FS INTERNS...

Fieldstone Jr Summer Intern Program

This is a program whereby we invite Fieldstone youth to come and be an active part of the SPY experience: 1.where they will feel the excitement of what Loving God / loving people really looks (and feels) like,  2. where they will learn the difference between doing ministry for and ministry with people, 3. where they will come to understand what it means to bring people to see Jesus (both around them and inside themselves), 4.where they will learn responsibility,  the importance of a positive attitude, good work habits, team work, initiative, goal setting, as they are continuously challenged to excel;   and  5. Where they will begin to understand the life of a full time servant.

HOW DOES ALL THIS HAPPEN?  This will be achieved/fostered by their direct involvement in SPY through their assignment to a full time intern,  contact with the community, study and community worship.  Each Jr intern will be guided to a ministry experience that best fits their unique talents, calling and the Fieldstone experience (list of full time interns on p. 6).  The Jr intern program includes class time where they will work through Sean Covey’s “Seven Habits of  Highly Effective Teens”.

Each Jr intern will receive room and board (meals and a place to stay)  wireless internet access,  and use of laundry facilities.  In return, each Jr intern will be directly responsible to the intern in their assigned ministry area. They will be working side by side with their Sr intern.   Each Jr intern will be asked to keep a diary of their experience which will include (but not be limited to) his/her observations, notable experiences, and hours worked.  All Jr Interns are required to fill out the application, acquire a reference letter and attend SPY training classes prior to becoming a Jr Intern.
